During press-forming, a compression force is transmitted to the sub-slide (an upper mold) through hydraulic pressure applied interlockingly with driving of the main slide, and the sub-slide is vibrated with the hydraulic pressure being periodically changed. Favorable press-forming can be performed even under relatively difficult press-forming conditions, by controlling the vibration such that a vibration frequency of the sub-slide (the upper mold) becomes 9 Hz or higher but 33.3 Hz or lower and a vibration amplitude of the sub-slide becomes 0.05 mm or larger but 0.5 mm or smaller.

The system includes an preprogrammed automated robot arm that is fitted with a gripper for grasping and manipulating the wood board around a hot mandrel in order to bend the wood into intricate bent shapes. The wood strips are first soaked in water so that they pliable to bend around the mandrel. The heated mandrel plasticizes the lignin to allow the fibers to reorient in the wet wood strips thus fixing or locking the wood in the bent shape. The grippers are preferably pneumatic grippers formed from two plates that move towards each other to grasp or clamp onto the wood strip. A friction plate urges the wood strips against the heated mandrel to provide consistent and constant contact between the wood strip and the surface of the hated mandrel.

The defective solder joint is heated by various means and a cold gas jet blast is applied to the defective solder joint. An effect is created whereby the solder inducing the defect is conveyed away by the impact of the cold gas jet blast. The advantages of this embodiment include scalability for pin spacing and elimination of heat induced latent defects. The thermally treated regions produce a softer material in those regions than in the surrounding surface of the roller. By virture of a first start-up of the rolling press with abrasive material to be comminuted, the desired profiling is formed spontaneously due to a wearing down of the soft regions to form the desired recesses. The thermal treatment represent a particularly simple and cost-effective method for profiling rolling rollers, and in particular, rolling rollers which have already become worn, which that thereby be readily refurbished.

The separate phases are transformed before being re-combined to provide an estimated intra-arterial transfer function. For example, in one embodiment the peripheral pulse waveform is filtered by a first high pass filter, and a copy of the peripheral pulse waveform filtered by a second high pass filter, having a different cut-off frequency. The two filtered waveforms may then be further processed, for example by being added back to original wave-form, and are then multiplexed together in a time division manner to provide a final waveform. For example, the part of the first filtered waveform corresponding to the systolic phase may be combined with the part of the second filtered waveform corresponding to the diastolic phase to produce the final waveform, and the respective filter cut-off frequencies may be chosen to extract characteristics of the respective phases of the heart.

A method and apparatus are disclosed such that a client device may perform serving and neighbor cells measurements and relay the measurements information to other client devices over the short range link. The present method and system computes a five-dimensional quality map of a video being assessed, where the map indicates the local quality variations of the video in a five-dimensional space, which includes two spatial dimensions, one scale dimension, one time dimension, and one distortion type dimension. The present method and system may use one or a combination of device and viewing condition parameters in the generation of the quality map, and in the combination of the quality map into a scalar or vector-values measure that indicates quality aspects of the test videos.

In one case, the attachment is automatically retrieved from the file server using the link. In another case, a recipient can manually retrieve the attachment from the file server using the link. A link can be associated with an expiration date such that when a link expires, the link can no longer be used to retrieve the attachment.
